Hiatus

Not to make myself sound, or look, whatever, stupid but does anyone know how you pronounce that word? "Hiatus", it means a break. Like, taking a hiatus from work, from relationships yada yada yada. So yeah, consider my (somehow) long absence a hiatus from blogging.

If you really need to know what I did during this little "break" I took. Here are the more interesting events. On Friday, I was helping out at KISS(KDU International Students Society) 's event as the deejay and audio controller. Met some wonderful people and those Saudi Arabian stud(ent)s can fucking shake their booties wei! It's like they're all power bottoms. Don't be disgusted but I had a slight fascination towards their rotating buns when watching them dance. It's was like, woot! If only Jennifer Lopez could shake like that no one woulda complain about her ass. I mean, bottom. I mean, whatever. I don't care about J. Lo. Back to the asses... I mean, event. Apparently they liked my music cos about five guys came over and asked me for my pendrive and even my Partner DJ Arnold (African) wanted the songs that I have cos he said they were "fucking good". Mind the quotation marks =P

I spent the weekend at my cousin's in Wangsa Maju. Tar Villa or something was the name of the apartment. Was thinking of swimming but the only thing I could completely sink my body into is the bathtub. And so we practised singing for like 30 minutes. And slept. And ate. And showered. And chatted respectedly. And watched Take The Lead (awesome movie). And slept. Woke up at 10 the next day. Had noodles. Warmed up our voices and sang for an hour or so. And got ready for the COMPETITION! *drum rolls*

The competition was a complete disappointment. They didn't have press. They didn't have a good emcee. They were all in chinese. As in, they spoke in mandarin. And I couldn't understand some of those really "jeng"/"lala" slangs they seem to have so I was having quite some trouble fitting in. So I was like thinking, "fine, it's a singing competition so I'll just sing and get my ass outta Sg Wang before I got traumatized by the seafood (speaking of traumas I've got some pretty interesting things to share with you guys later).

Back to the competition. The competitors were either gay or fucking ugly. As in, even I don't wear that kinda stuff. It was more like a "Hey Come On Let's Be La-La" competition or a "I'm Wearing Stuff With Wlings And Flowers And Shit All Over My Body Including A Dildo In My Rectum" competition. And the emcee came and asked us to catwalk on stage (haha) which was perfectly fine by me cos the others were kinda... campy. Actually, "campy" is pretty damn literal because all of them look as young as my brother, which is 14. So mixing with them kinda made me feel uncomfortable. But that's beyond the topic.

So we sang. It was pretty good. I'd say I'd score an 8. But then *drums intensify* they started shooting questions at us. Questions about the TV series from Taiwan. One of those I would NEVER EVER WATCH. My cousin was a pro and answered most of them and suddenly the host asked me, "So Kevin. Do you think you look like Wang Dong Cheng?" Apparently the WDC fella is the lead actor from the series, but instead of saying yes or a no, I asked him back "Who's Wang Dong Cheng?" The whole public laughed and I was like, "oh shit I think I just screwed up." So you can pretty much imagined how we got totally screwed up at the Q&A session. Damn.

Anyway. Sally was quite sad for not being able to win cos the other teams sucked in singing. I didn't say much because I knew I was the main reason why we screwed up. I hope she's okay.. Poor dearie never lost in a single competition in her life, I think.

Oh, apparently we're featured in some sorta magazine. But I'm not going to tell you which one.

The next week was pretty much a breeze because I relaxed a bit after the whole hectic week before it. Monday to Wednesday were fine. Good times with friends. Lots of McDonald's. PS2 and Mad TV. Until Thursday came.

I ALMOST DIED.

========================================

Of course that would not be the only thing I'm gonna type right? Anyway, I nearly got killed by a bolt of electricity because there was a thunderstorm outside the house and loads of electronic devices were operating. The fan in the kitchen suddenly exploded and a blue/white-ish electric bolt shot down and hit the wall right next to me and Jovie. Kinda "Final Destination"esque but I'm too lazy to describe it again.

I was supposed to host an event in Sheraton Subang on Friday but it was cancelled last minute. Doesn't feel TOO bad about it cos they're not paying me anyway. Hate it when KDU does that. They would think that I'm a good emcee and ask for my service and when I asked them for scholarships they'd shove a shit-ass pizza up my face.

Monday (16th April 2007)

After the awareness campaign or whatever they called it by AWAM (All Women's Action MforSomethingSpecialAsWell) and going outta class and decided to stop paying too much attention at Ms Naomi's wonderfully squeezed cleavage, I got a call from Famous Artists. Apparently Digi wanted me to do a new commercial shoot for them and the people in FA didn't inform me. They called right after I got out of class and asked me why I wasn't there for the casting and I was like, "Ugh, no one called me." So I had to rush all the way to the modelling agency and do yet ANOTHER video of me talking on the phone using some International Roaming thingy and pretending that I was having a great time talking to my imaginary friend at the end of the line. Pictures of Santha, Daniel and Shivani posing for their photoshoot will be posted later. Yeap, I brought them along so they did their portfolios too.

Lucky us we ALL wore really nice clothes to college today and all of us had almost-perfect hair. I mean, I look decent most of the time but I do wear a single T-shirt to class once in a while thank you. If today was one of those days I'm pretty damn sure Digi's not gonna pay me a thousand bucks looking like a retard on the phone.

And after class I went to OneU for a*nother* movie with Jovie. Sunshine wasn't the movie I expected it to be. It was more like Sci-Fi slash Thriller. Somehow I feel like putting the word "horror" in as well. You guys should go watch it if you like this kinda stuff. I just have a special thing for Michelle Yeoh. Ipoh Mali ma... Haha. Love that song.

And I saw a really really cute guy at Centerpoint's McDonald's! O-M-G! Freaking cute. Not your typical good looking but just... cute. Yummy. Alright I should stop. Hmmm. I'm checking out a guy lol. Whatever that means.

Photos will be uploaded as soon as I get them from Sam. "SAM!!!!!" Till then. Adios.
