Morality Bites

Load this video and read the post and you'll be watching one of the funniest things shown on national television when you're done reading.

Imagine yourself at a crossroads where you need to decide whether you should be an honest friend who says blatantly mean truths or a nice friend who says, "it's okay, everything is going to work out fine." What would you choose?

I think 2007 has been quite a year. And we're only talking about the first half of it. I know I'm not as good as those geniuses who started making huge-ass money since 17 but hey, things ARE looking good. A lotta new opportunities at work and at love, I haven't got too much to complain.

Anyway, I rejected someone today. A girl. She was completely in shock when she found out that I was.. er.. you know.. engaged. She's the fourth girl I rejected this year. Weird, when I was in high-school being the nerdiest fatso kid ever, no one even cared to throw a glimpse at me. Looks really do matter a lot I guess. And me scoring more by losing 15kgs proved that.

I talked to William Quah today too. He's actually a very professional person. I sent him some sorta fan mail and he replied just how a normal friend would. He was one of the three people who made me come to study mass communication in KL. So yes, if it wasn't for him impressing me simply by reading the news, I wouldn't be here.

It meant a lot to me to have him actually gave me real advices and asking me to keep in touch. And ugh, I actually checked my last post and noticed that I kidded that I wanted to "screw" him. It's a joke. Or maybe I was just too excited to see him. Anyways, he's not on my to-'do'-list. You are. Haha. But um, since a lot of my friends are media students, I'll share a portion of his reply to my "fan mail" with you guys.

"I always like to make sure people know that the work I do in front of the camera is just the tip of the iceberg. I've worked primarily as a writer, producer, content creator and brand marketeer for the last 6 years, but the on camera stuff is definitely a nice way to make pocket money. Basically, what I'm trying to say here is don't get into this business for the glitz and glamour... believe me, it's there, but it's not in as huge a supply as you'd think. Instead, get into this industry with the right mindset, to change, develop, and educate a fledgling industry in an under developed country. Think of everything you love about foreign media, and dedicate yourself to bringing it here, even if it doesn't seem to ever take off. But persevere. Do that, and you'll be doing yourself, and your country, a favour."

He's SO my idol. Full-stop. And he IS coming to R.O.A.R, Ray. He IS. Now go back up and watch the uber funny video from Mad TV.
