Happy Chinese New Year!!
For those who didn't really know, it's the year of the Rat and posters and stickers of Mickey Mouse (and sometimes Minnie) have been popping out on walls of Chinese homes. Well, most of them. I know of a few folks who don't celebrate the occasion. I'm not gonna describe much, the pictures should do the talking. But there are really so many of them that I've trouble deciding which to upload.
Sunny eating the CNY bug.I'm not sure what people call it but it doesn't
exactly exist in KL and it only comes out during CNY.
And it's effing loud and disgusting.
Mom wasn't exactly too thrilled to be giving awayher precious money, I guess. Hah.
Moon, Fatt Chai and grams. He really couldn't be bothered less. Lol.
You can just tell how tired we wereby looking at our faces.
Dad has this really bad habit of choosingthe worst time to camwhore.
Miki and Kevin. She changes her Englishname every two years. Lucky her she has very loyal men.
Eva and Kevin. I didn't know my relativeshad such names until I bluetooth-ed them pictures
and their names were displayed on my search results.
I met up with more high school friends that night. It's weird that we never meet each other on any other
days even though we're all in KL.
Happy Birthday man.I bet you were feeling happy we remembered.
My 3rd aunt and my youngest uncle. He's probably 40 by now but you know what happens
when you have a little too much to drink.
I mean, look at Dad.We're such a flexible family, in weird terms.
I love this one. The others have left to gamblebut we stayed back to have more fun.
Gimme gimme more, gimme more...
This is probably our only family picture takenon CNY. But it's quite nice. Very nice =)
Kisses to the soon-to-be birthday boy!
The young and restless Chong's.The youngest two are actually nine already.
I always thought they were, um, three.
And I met up with primary school friendstoday (Saturday) morning. They couldn't recognize
me at first, which was pretty amusing.
And oh, I came out to everyone. You should see me teacher's reaction :|
It's quite awkward for the ones in the closet. But they remained straight for the rest of the day.
Overall, I've had an enjoyable Chinese New Year. Watched some hilarious Chinese flicks and did a little bit of family karaoke and took loads of pictures. I'm leaving tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon following a distant aunt's car instead of taking the ride I was offered to by Moon's ex because I don't wish to wake up at 5am on Monday. I'm actually having steamboat dinner in a few moments with distant relatives and I'll have to drive back to Kampung, again, for Fatt Chai and Kar Wai's birthday party. I'm so effing tired.
Gimme something, Mickey.
Kevin C.
