I really like the story. Heck, I even like Nurul, the former drug addict I interviewed. The 3 minute clip you watch at the front is actually the first story I produced here on Venus. Remember three weeks ago when I first started I was told to cover a wedding? Yeah, this is the result. Aishah thought the story was pretty decent for a first-timer. Well, I put quite a lot of effort in the script as well as the editing, so thankfully the results show. I just hope the same amount of enthusiasm and passion can be infused into the other stories I'm assigned to. I'm really not that hyped for "Do Celebs Earn A Lot?" and the 'Tax & You" episodes coming up. Gawd, I haven't even started doing my pre-scripts yet. Argh!
The producer from the Edisi Siasat department asked me today if I wanted to join the newscasting group after I finish my internship after hearing me speak Mandarin the other day. It was flattering, since I started out studying mass communication for the sake of reading news. But after seeing how they work... Hmmm... I don't know. Venus can be about lifestyle so I can be more relaxed and chilled, if I go into the news department, I'd probably look as old as my dad when I hit 25. Plus, I get all sorts of freebies running a lifestyle program (like getting my hair done for free even though there's not much of it) But then again, news anchors get allowances. And I will try to fix you,
Kev C.
