One Day At Pavilion

Alright. Here comes a post WITH pictures for September.
For the ones who wonder, I'm not a generally busy person.
But the connection speed at my place is simply so horrible, it takes me more than 2 minutes to view Google and 5 to just to open my Friendster page.
So, yeah, tau tak pe. ( I think it means 'now you know)
Anyways, as some of you might be aware of the grand opening of one of the few luxury malls in the hub of Kuala Lumpur- Pavilion had its grand opening last week.
For those who have no idea what or where Pavilion is, here are some pics:

One of the entrances to the building.
Some of the shops aren't opened yet though.

Just to let you folks get an idea, the food sold in Pavilion
is far from cheap. They have Food Republic, which is the first
in Malaysia, but I didn't manage to check it out. There's a
little place call Equos at LG and the egg sandwich was RM12.90.
And mushroom soup was RM6.90 (S). Yeah.
I need to say something here: All this pictures and the bubble texts are for personal entertainment purposes amongst friends. I do not know the people in the pictures personally nor was I aware of what they were talking or thinking while the picture is taken.
THESE PRANKS/JOKES ARE NOT TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY.

Fine, back to the topic. So I walked around and there was a catwalk fashion show thingy for Stadium Sportswear and I must admit that some of the clothes are pretty nice. And the models weren't bad too. Just not the two white guys who looked as if they were picked up on the spot to fill in some absent models (they looked a bit too lost for comfort).

The place where the fashion show was held.
(note: they had mediocre PR)

After the show we went walking around until we were hungry and we went to Yo! Sushi for dinner. I wasn't (still not) a sushi person because I don't eat anything raw or exotic sea creatures. But I have to admit the food that night was pretty good. Here are some of the stuff we had. Take a look and pay the place a visit if you're into this kinda food.

Location: Lower Ground Floor, Pavilion Mall, Kuala Lumpur.

Beef Satay - RM 18
The beef s tender and saucy, awesome!

Spicy Chicken Katsu -RM8

Wasabi & Dill Salmon -RM 18

Yellowtail Hamachi -RM 15

Salmon Sashimi -RM 18

Fried Chicken Rice -RM 10
The portion was not as big as you're thinking, seriously.

Soft Shell Crab With Yuzu Tobiko -RM 10

Gyoza -RM 8
Fried chicken dumplings with soup. Quite nice.

Dorayaki -RM 8
Doraemon's favorite, anyone?

Mochi (Japanese Rice Cake) -RM 8

Sorry, I forgot to take down the name of this.

Teriyaki Chicken -RM10
Your ordinary fried chicken.

Miso Black Cod -RM18
I didn't get to taste this, but they said it was amazing.

Eel & Cucumber -RM 10

Teriyaki Salmon -RM10
Best dish of the night, all of us LOVED it.

Takoyaki -RM 10
Greg loves it, so I tried. It was actually better than
what I had expected. Way better than the ones sold in OneU.

Special thanks to Mr Lewis for serving us all those
food. He introduced us to some of his personal favs too.
Oh, by the way, Yo! Sushi is originally from UK.

The dinner added up to approx. RM450 for all four of us.
Guess what, I didn't pay a cent.

After all that Jap food, we headed back to PJ and went straight to The Curve where Shaz's friend Amanda was waiting for us (sushi made us late). Here are more pictures from the new (or maybe old, I haven't hung out at The Curve for a while) place call The Apartment.

The place had this really homey design.
I think it's a little too comfy I nearly slept.

So Shaz, being his usual friendly self, threw this
little surprise thingy for Amanda.
According to her card, she's a songwriter, singer, model, performer,
emcee, public relations professional, host etc. Coooolll =)
She's a darling, that one.
Her birthday was actually a few months ago though.
That's why the cake got downsized and all.

And guess what.
Happy Mooncake/Lantern/Mid-Autumn Festival.
May you always be with the ones you love.

G&G,
Kev C.
